Joey Hawkins Interview

Joey Hawkins Interview from Tim over at CalSurfPix.
For those who don't know Joey was the world longboarding champion in 92 and was leading the progressive longboard movement in the late 80's.

Check them out over here.

I call progressive longboarding the black sheep of surfing and its probably the style that is disliked the most even by other longboarders that are part of the traditional longboard camp.

However to each their own, I love it and I think its hear to stay.

There have been many trends in surfing, the fish movement, sup-ing, ect...I think in some way or another all these elements/style of surfing well be present in some shape/form or fashion.

Cheers to you Joey...

Spoke with Todd on his epoxy or his formula of glassing, foam and epoxy that He calls "Proxy" that have more of positive flex then PU construction.

Pretty stoked on his "green" approach to construction that I have spoke to him in length about.
